About The Position

As a full-time unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location in La Crescenta, California, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service to students, staff, faculty, and visitors. The role calls for clear communication and professionalism while helping maintain a welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A guard card or license is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and faculty by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established school district protocols.
Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or maintenance concerns, and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports in accordance with site-specific requirements.
