Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Credential Tracking
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in Santa Monica, California. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, and helping deter security-related incidents. The role also involves providing professional customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers and contributing to a welcoming environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and care. The pay rate is $20.00 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday and Thursday through Sunday, 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of security-related experience.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law and may be required before employment.
- A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and shoppers while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail property, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and activity at the location, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal standards.
