About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard a financial institution in Moosic, Pennsylvania. The officer will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible security presence, support access control, and provide customer service and clear communication while responding to site needs. The position pays $17.62 per hour and has a schedule listed as Monday, 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, and Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM. New hires receive free paid training, which is mandatory and scheduled before employment begins. Candidates must provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED, have prior access control or badge experience and customer service experience, and hold current CPR certification. The minimum requirements section separately describes these experiences and credentials as preferred, while also requiring a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum age of 18 for unarmed roles. Applicants are subject to background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening.

Requirements

Provide valid documentation of a high school diploma or GED, such as official transcripts, a diploma or GED certificate, or verification from the issuing institution.
Prior access control or badge management experience, including familiarity with security protocols and systems for managing facility access; documentation or references may be requested.
Current CPR certification, with proof submitted before employment; certifications from recognized organizations such as the American Heart Association or Red Cross are acceptable.
Prior customer service experience, such as in retail or hospitality, or another role involving direct customer interaction.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and performing emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, offices, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and contractor activity in accordance with site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs related to patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
