About The Position

As a Security Officer TWIC Credential Validation in Richmond, California, you will safeguard clients at a transportation location. In this access-control role, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, respond to security concerns, maintain a visible presence, conduct patrols, and provide customer service and communication. The position is part-time and scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Pay is $24.90 per hour.

Requirements

Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and vendors by following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor transportation-terminal access points, verify credentials or authorization, and document visitor, vendor, and vehicle entry and exit activity.
Control access to restricted operational areas, direct authorized personnel and commercial traffic as needed, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular conditions.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established post orders and communication protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, terminal grounds, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
