About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer for a commercial real estate location in Bristow, Virginia. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, supporting access control, and responding to security-related concerns. The role emphasizes customer service, clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and use of technology to document activities. The position is scheduled for daytime hours from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday. Pay is $23.36 per hour. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and a drug screen, to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements depend on applicable state and local laws and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance concerns.
Monitor access activity and visitor entry in accordance with site procedures, assist with credential verification, and direct guests to appropriate locations.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift communications while supporting a professional, customer-focused environment.
