Security Officer Part Time Property Patrol
About The Position
As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a retail location in Lansing, Michigan, you will safeguard clients and help maintain a welcoming environment for customers and team members. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The posted schedule is Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or associates by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and taking part in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, as assigned.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other site documentation accurately and on time.
