Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Property Patrol

About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol officer at a healthcare location in Arden, North Carolina, you will help safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and property. The role includes routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, supporting a welcoming environment, providing customer service, and responding professionally to security concerns. The scheduled hours are Wednesday and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas, and report unusual conditions or hazards.
Respond calmly and constructively to requests for assistance, disturbances, medical-related emergencies, and other critical situations.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to facility procedures to help maintain an orderly healthcare environment.
Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
