About The Position

As a Security Officer in Riverview, Florida, you will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical and petrochemical location. You will manage site entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide professional service to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will support a secure environment and help deter security-related incidents.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that apply under state and/or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor and contractor entry processes, and maintain accurate access-control records for an industrial chemical processing location.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations, following established site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and assigned facilities to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Communicate observations, incidents, and access-control concerns to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision, and complete required reports and shift documentation.
