Security Officer - Full Time - Entry Screening
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for an entry-screening role in West Chester, Ohio, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer monitors entry points, verifies authorized access, and helps maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role uses computer-based systems, requires professional communication, and involves identifying and reporting security-related concerns. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and pays $18.00 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by applicable law. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be 21 or older.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry areas, business spaces, and the perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
- Help maintain a professional lobby and access-control presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
