About The Position

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Somerset, Pennsylvania, you will serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare location. You will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying authorized access, and supporting visitors, patients, and staff with customer service. You will remain visible, communicate clearly, document security-related activity, and work with the team to help deter incidents. This is a full-time position paying $16.95 per hour. The schedule is Tuesday through Friday, 4:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, patients, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Control facility access by verifying identification, monitoring visitor entry, issuing temporary access credentials, and directing individuals according to site-specific requirements.
Monitor access points, alarms, and surveillance systems; report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established healthcare location procedures and coordinating with emergency responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, restricted areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
