About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a secure-entry role at a chemical/petrochemical location in Beaumont, Texas. The officer helps safeguard the site by verifying credentials, managing visitor and employee access, monitoring entry points, and communicating professionally with site personnel. The role supports security operations through a visible presence, accurate documentation, and responsive customer service. The posted schedule is Wednesday 10:00 AM–4:00 PM and Thursday through Saturday 4:00 AM–4:00 PM. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience.
A TSA-issued TWIC.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, to the extent permitted by law, a drug screen.
Licensing requirements are subject to applicable state and local laws and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and drivers while following site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals to designated check-in procedures.
Control vehicle and delivery entry and exit according to site requirements, document activity, and report irregularities to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following post orders and escalation protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
