About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Secure Entry Management for an automotive location in Vance, Alabama. The officer will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, monitor access activity, and support a secure environment. The role also involves providing professional customer service to employees and visitors and responding to security-related concerns. The posted pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The schedule is Thursday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM, and Saturday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years old.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements vary by state and local laws and regulations, and a license may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and/or badge experience.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following site-specific access control procedures, policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor registration, and maintain accurate access-related records.
Control vehicle and pedestrian access, direct authorized personnel and deliveries to designated areas, and report unauthorized access attempts or irregular conditions.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, and the business perimeter to identify and report security-related concerns.
