About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location in Oakland, California. The officer will screen people, packages, and materials; monitor access points; and report security concerns. The role calls for a visible presence, professional communication, and a customer-focused approach to help deter incidents and support smooth operations.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM, and pays $21.95 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Applicable state or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• State or local licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and personnel by following site-specific security procedures, access screening requirements, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with established procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct authorized inspections of people, packages, and property professionally and respectfully.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and promptly report observations to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, access points, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
