About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Boise, Idaho, you will safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor entry points, verify authorized access, maintain a visible and professional presence, and help deter security-related incidents. The role includes communicating with employees and visitors, documenting activity, supporting a welcoming environment, and following site-specific security and access-control procedures. Work is scheduled during daytime hours on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pay is $19.00 per hour. On-site facilities are limited and include portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements; a security-related license may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience.
• A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, manage visitor entry procedures, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond calmly to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors while supporting a welcoming and controlled entry process.
