About The Position

As a Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location in North Charleston, South Carolina, you will safeguard clients and support daily operations by managing entry points, verifying credentials, monitoring access activity, and providing a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and drivers. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents.

The role provides customer service, carries out site-specific access control procedures and policies, responds to emergencies, maintains access logs, addresses concerns and incidents, and conducts patrols of designated access points and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply under state or local law and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor entry and exit points; verify credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle access in accordance with site requirements.
• Maintain accurate access-related logs and records for visitors, contractors, deliveries, and vehicles entering or departing the location.
• Respond calmly to access concerns, incidents, and critical situations; report observations and escalate matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
