About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry Coordinator at a logistics and distribution location in City of Industry, California, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and maintaining a professional presence to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate with employees, visitors, and site leadership while supporting orderly operations. The role includes customer service, access control, vehicle and shipment screening, incident response, and patrols of access points and surrounding areas. The position is full-time and pays $18.80 per hour. The listed schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and delivery personnel while following site-specific procedures and access-control policies.
Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, trailers, packages, and shipments according to site procedures; report discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
