About The Position

As a Security Officer Controlled Entry Specialist at a residential community in Duluth, Georgia, you will help create a welcoming and secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and assisting residents, visitors, and vendors. You will maintain a visible presence, communicate professionally, document activity using computer or tablet technology, and respond to security-related concerns. The role supports a residential site and includes customer service, access control, patrols, and incident response. The position is full-time and pays $21.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, Tuesday through Thursday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM, and Sunday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors while following access-control procedures and site-specific policies, and conduct emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and maintain visitor, vendor, and delivery records in accordance with community procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating matters according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential common areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Communicate professionally with residents and site personnel, document observations and incidents accurately, and support a welcoming residential environment.
