Security Officer Full Time Patrol Compliance Inspection
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a government healthcare location in New York, NY. The officer will safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and the facility by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to security concerns, and helping provide a welcoming environment. The role requires professional customer service, clear communication, collaboration with the Allied Universal team, and adherence to site procedures and emergency protocols. The listed pay rate is $17.87–$18.87 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
- Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements may need to be met before employment, subject to applicable state and local laws and regulations.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Respond calmly to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, follow established protocols, and notify appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with wayfinding, and report security concerns, policy violations, or maintenance issues to site leadership.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site procedures.
