About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Inspection in Gansevoort, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as utilities. In this unarmed patrol role at a utility location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs. The position is full-time. The listed schedule is Monday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Wednesday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, Thursday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Sunday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate at a utility location.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and potential security concerns.
Monitor access points and observe site activity in accordance with post orders.
Report unauthorized access attempts, damaged infrastructure, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
