About The Position

As a Security Officer Patrol Inspection in Portland, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. In this unarmed security role, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond professionally to changing needs, and help maintain a welcoming environment.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and guests at a public tourism location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of public areas, facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity, access concerns, or maintenance issues.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and general information, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
