About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in Richmond, Virginia, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will provide customer service and support a welcoming environment while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. The role includes routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence, monitoring access points, responding professionally to incidents, and reporting security concerns.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.
A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns in accordance with company and site requirements.
