About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients in a healthcare setting in Durham, North Carolina. The officer will patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors. The role uses computer or tablet tools for daily activities and requires professional communication and calm responses to incidents. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday, Friday, and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.46 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if assigned to a driving position.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, wayfinding, and compliance with facility entry requirements.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, patrol activities, and security-related concerns according to company and site procedures.
