About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer in De Soto, Kansas, to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. The role also involves providing outstanding customer service, communicating professionally, and using computer or tablet systems as needed. The schedule is Monday and Saturday, 10:45 PM to 7:15 AM. The pay rate is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Experience with access control and badge systems.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations, and report unusual conditions.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations while following established emergency response procedures.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and help maintain orderly entry and exit processes.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and daily activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
