About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Newberry, South Carolina, serving a manufacturing and industrial location. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge processes. The role involves customer service, professional communication, and using computer or tablet systems as needed. The scheduled shifts are Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $11.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, if required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, production areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and potential hazards.
Monitor access by verifying visitor, contractor, and employee authorization according to site requirements.
Accurately document observations, incidents, and patrol activity, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
