About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Officer at a retail location in Blythewood, South Carolina, you will help safeguard clients, shoppers, and employees. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and assist customers and team members professionally. The role involves using technology to document activity, communicating clearly, and responding to security-related concerns. The listed schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. Applicants must have at least one year of security-related experience, be at least 18 years old for an unarmed role, and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local regulations.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations using problem-solving skills.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, stock areas, parking areas, and the perimeter.
Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
Assist with loss prevention-related observations and support a welcoming environment for customers and associates.
Use technology to document activity and communicate clearly about security-related concerns.
