About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer in Blythewood, South Carolina, to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The officer conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves communicating clearly, responding to security-related concerns, and providing customer service. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business operations spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization according to site policies, and help deter unauthorized entry or suspicious activity.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
• Maintain detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate professionally with site personnel, and support a professional environment for all occupants.
