About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for a retail and mall location in Oxford, Ohio. The officer will help safeguard the site, maintain a visible security presence, and contribute to a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. The role involves customer service, routine patrols, monitoring activity, responding to concerns, and documenting incidents. The stated pay rate is $16.72 per hour. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and client representatives by following site-specific security procedures and policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of retail common areas, parking facilities, loading zones, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity; report suspicious conditions, policy violations, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, alarms, and critical situations, coordinating with emergency responders and/or management when appropriate.
Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications while maintaining a professional presence.
