About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer in Charlotte, North Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a logistics and distribution location. You will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, conduct routine patrols, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. The role includes providing customer service and clear communication while supporting a professional environment built on teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation.

The posted pay rate is $16.00 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. On-site facilities are limited and include portable toilets and rustic guard shacks. The role may involve working environments and conditions that vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable licensing requirements under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control facility access, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Observe inbound and outbound traffic at shipment, vehicle, and facility access points and report irregular activity according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, notify appropriate site contacts, and contact emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, dock areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
