About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for a logistics and distribution location in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The officer will provide customer service while helping safeguard the site, manage facility access, issue badges, maintain entry and exit records, monitor access points, and conduct patrols. The role includes responding to incidents according to established procedures and communicating with employees, visitors, drivers, contractors, and site personnel. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM–10:00 PM, and Sunday, 3:00 PM–8:00 PM. The pay rate is $19.06 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Control facility access by verifying credentials, checking in visitors and contractors, issuing access badges, and maintaining accurate entry and exit records.
Monitor vehicle and pedestrian access points and coordinate with site personnel about arrivals and departures.
Help maintain orderly traffic flow at gates and loading areas.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to identify unusual activity or conditions.
