About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Issuance in Plainfield, Indiana, at a logistics and distribution location. The role provides a designated site and weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Employees may build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week or scale back as needed. The listed pay rate is $17.77 per hour. The posted schedule is Monday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Control facility access by verifying identification, credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery personnel requirements in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and visitor activity to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, document observations, and report concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter.
