About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer for visitor screening at a hospital in Columbus, Ohio. The officer will help maintain a welcoming and controlled environment by monitoring access points, screening people and belongings, and reporting security-related concerns. The role requires a visible presence, clear communication, and a customer-focused approach to deter incidents and support daily operations.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday from 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment, if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
• Monitor access points and screen individuals and belongings.
• Report security-related concerns.
