About The Position

As a full-time Security Officer serving as a visitor screener at a financial institution in Columbus, Ohio, you will help safeguard clients by welcoming visitors, screening access, monitoring entry activity, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide customer service while supporting a secure environment and assisting with incident response and communication. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and pays $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
Screen individuals entering designated areas, verify authorized access, and direct visitors to appropriate check-in locations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Accurately document screening activities, incidents, and unusual observations and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the surrounding perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
