About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Whitsett, North Carolina. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role involves providing customer service, communicating clearly, and using computer or tablet tools as needed. The position is scheduled Thursdays and Fridays, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at a pay rate of $16.89 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, depending on state and/or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and the perimeter to identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and potential hazards.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and help maintain an orderly environment.
Prepare accurate reports of incidents, patrol findings, and other security-related activities, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
