About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Officer for patrol and tablet operations at an assigned site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The position offers a fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. The role is intended for candidates seeking consistent part-time hours with flexibility to work additional shifts and potentially build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $17.25 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

The Security Officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures, conducts unarmed patrols, monitors access and visitor activity, responds to incidents and alarms, and maintains accurate logs and reports. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on background investigation and, where permitted by law, drug screening. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local laws.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property staff while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial office buildings, lobbies, parking areas, common areas, and perimeter locations; identify and report unusual activity or property concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific policies, documenting observations and reporting incidents to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established emergency procedures.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
