About The Position

As a Security Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients at a public transportation location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist riders, employees, and visitors professionally. You will use clear communication and customer service skills to report concerns, respond to incidents, and support a welcoming environment. The site has limited on-site facilities, such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at public transportation locations.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned locations; report security concerns, hazards, and unusual conditions according to site procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate professionally with site personnel and the public.
