About The Position
As a full-time Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in De Soto, Kansas, you will help safeguard the site by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will provide customer service to employees and visitors and help maintain a welcoming environment. The role pays $22.28 per hour and is scheduled Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, building perimeters, parking areas, and other assigned locations, reporting unusual conditions or security concerns.
- Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Help deter unauthorized activity through visible patrols, a professional presence, and timely reporting of observed conditions.
