About The Position

As a Security Officer Dispatch Security Clearance Coordination in McLean, Virginia, you will support a technology, media, and telecommunications location. You will monitor communications and alarm activity, coordinate responses to security-related incidents, and maintain accurate records. You will provide customer service while helping maintain a secure environment through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity. The position is part-time, scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, at a pay rate of $30.90 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of security-related experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Alarm panel experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Receive, prioritize, and dispatch routine and urgent calls for service using radio, telephone, and computer-aided dispatch systems.
Monitor communications, alarms, cameras, and other site systems; document incidents, dispatch actions, and relevant details according to site procedures.
Coordinate responses to incidents and critical situations calmly, notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed, and apply problem-solving skills.
Maintain accurate dispatch logs, shift activity reports, and incident documentation while supporting a professional communications center environment.
