About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Columbia City, Indiana, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, communicate professionally with employees, visitors, and stakeholders, and report security-related concerns. This is a part-time position paying $21.16 per hour, scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The role requires an active DoD Secret Clearance.

Requirements

Possess an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and complete required reports.
Maintain accurate activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations, concerns, and shift information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
