About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in McLean, Virginia. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, helping deter incidents, supporting access-control and other security operations, and providing customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and the pay rate is $30.05 per hour. Applicants must have an active DoD Secret Clearance and supervisory experience. The position requires at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree. CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Requirements

At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Supervisory experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by applicable law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills in incidents and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
Support access-control and security-related operations.
Drive as required for the post.
