About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Armed Security Officer for an aerospace and defense location in Culpeper, Virginia. The role involves armed vehicle and foot patrols, monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, responding to incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication in a mission-focused environment. The schedule is Wednesday and Thursday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The pay rate is $28.59 per hour.

Requirements

Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
Maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.
Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid license is required for driving positions.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while carrying out site-specific security procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorizations, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and complete accurate incident documentation.
Maintain awareness of restricted areas, controlled materials, and facility operations while following post orders, company procedures, and client requirements.
