Security Officer Part Time TWIC Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol port areas in Mobile, Alabama. The officer will help safeguard clients by maintaining a visible presence, conducting routine rounds, monitoring access points, reporting unusual activity, and providing professional customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and port personnel. The position involves responding to incidents and alarms, following site-specific procedures, and preparing accurate reports. The posted schedule is Friday and Saturday, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM. The pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The role requires a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), a high school diploma or equivalent, and being at least 18 years old for unarmed work. Applicants are subject to background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law.
Requirements
- Possess a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements prior to employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, vendors, and port personnel while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, docks, access points, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and verify visitor, contractor, and vehicle authorization according to site requirements.
- Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrol activities, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns.
