Security Officer Full Time TWIC Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Officer to support a government port location in Jacksonville, Florida. The position involves driving and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy, as well as a TSA-issued TWIC. The officer will conduct routine and random patrols, maintain a visible security presence, help deter incidents, and provide customer service to clients and port personnel. The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The pay rate is $17.06 per hour. Applicants must be at least 18 years old for this unarmed role and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on applicable background and drug screening requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
- Have a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for this unarmed role.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations.

- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and port personnel while following site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency-response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of port facilities, buildings, parking areas, perimeter areas, and waterfront-adjacent locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor activity, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, communicate observations, and request additional assistance when needed.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
