About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Enhanced Security Officer for an unarmed perimeter patrol driver position in Chicago, Illinois. The role provides a designated site and fixed weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform, with the option to build up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $21.00 per hour. The schedule is Wednesday, 8:00 PM–4:00 AM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial facilities, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor site access, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor activity, and report access concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs, and communicate observations and security concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
