About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer in West Hazleton, Pennsylvania, at a chemical/petrochemical location. The officer will safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, helping deter incidents, and supporting access control. The role includes providing professional customer service, communicating with visitors and team members, and using technology to document security-related activities. The listed schedule is Wednesday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 12:00 AM–8:00 AM. Pay is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience.
Current CPR certification from a recognized organization; proof will be required during hiring.
Comfort using a computer or tablet, including navigating software and performing tasks such as data entry, email communication, and online research.
Access control and badge experience, including issuing, revoking, and managing employee and visitor badges.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and notify appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the chemical and petrochemical facility, including business areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
Monitor site access by verifying credentials, observing visitor activity, and reporting unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations according to site requirements, including potential hazards, spills, leaks, or damaged barriers for follow-up.
