Security Officer - Perimeter Patrol

About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Newell, West Virginia, you will help safeguard clients, personnel, and operations. You will conduct routine and random patrols, monitor access points, and help maintain a secure environment. A visible presence, professional communication, and customer service are important to deterring security-related incidents. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.10 per hour. At least one year of security experience is required.

Requirements

At least one year of experience in a security-related role.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and access-control requirements, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Observe and report potential hazards, spills, damaged equipment, and other unusual conditions to designated personnel.
