About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol in Lansing, Michigan. The position provides reliable hours at an assigned site, with a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment. Officers may also claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform, allowing them to increase their hours and work toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week. The role pays $17.00 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. It involves unarmed patrols and security support at a retail location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require candidates to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements; a license may be required before employment.
• Possess a valid driver's license only if assigned to a driving position.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures and security policies, and assisting with emergency response when appropriate.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and maintenance concerns to store leadership or Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits.
• Document security-related incidents and daily activities according to site procedures.
