About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for perimeter patrol at an assigned manufacturing and industrial site in Bridgeport, Alabama. The role provides a designated weekly anchor shift requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through a scheduling platform. Hours may vary based on claimed shifts, with the opportunity to build up to a full-time schedule of as many as 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The listed pay rate is $11.41 per hour. The scheduled shift is Thursday, 11:00 PM–7:00 AM.

The officer provides customer service and carries out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, patrols, and emergency-response activities. Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles and have a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is contingent on a background investigation and drug screen, as permitted by law. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local regulations; a valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable law.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.
• Commit to the designated site and weekly anchor shift for six months.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors while following site procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency-response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, identifying and reporting security concerns.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle logs according to site policies.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Accurately document observations, incidents, and security activities in reports and shift communications.
