Security Officer with Active Clearance Full Time Patrol
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to patrol an aerospace and defense location in San Jose, California. The officer will help safeguard the site by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service to employees and visitors. The position involves communicating professionally and supporting a welcoming environment while following site-specific policies and procedures. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $24.79 per hour. Applicants must possess an active DoD Secret clearance and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Applicable state or local licensing requirements may need to be met before employment.
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Nice To Haves
- Comfort using a computer or tablet.
- Customer service experience.
- A Guard Card/License.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones at the aerospace and defense location.
- Monitor and report unusual activity, facility hazards, and security-related concerns according to site procedures.
- Accurately document incidents, patrol observations, and shift activities, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
