About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to support an aerospace and defense location in Huntsville, Alabama. The role involves providing customer service and maintaining a visible security presence through routine patrols, access monitoring, incident response, and accurate reporting. Officers are expected to work collaboratively and with integrity while supporting site operations. The schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $20.60 per hour. The position requires an active DoD Secret clearance. Requirements

An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following site protocols and reporting requirements.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access control points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures.
Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
