About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer to patrol and assist with incidents at an aerospace and defense location in Rensselaer, New York. The officer will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide customer service in a professional environment. The role involves communicating with team members and visitors and supporting site-specific security procedures. The posted schedule is Friday and Sunday, 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.75 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, and security-related observations.
Provide customer service and communicate with team members and visitors.
